Select the PCR
Identify the applicable PCR for your product from the EPD SETU programme library.
Conduct LCA Study
Perform a Life Cycle Assessment (ISO 14040/44) following the PCR rules.
Compile the EPD
Compile LCA results using the official EPD SETU reporting format.
Independent Verification
An approved EPD SETU verifier reviews your EPD and LCA for conformance.
Register & Publish
Your EPD is registered and published in the EPD SETU public database.

Select the PCR
Identify the applicable Product Category Rule for your product from the EPD SETU PCR library. If a PCR does not yet exist, contact the Secretariat about developing one.

Conduct the LCA study
Perform a Life Cycle Assessment in accordance with ISO 14040 / 14044 and the requirements of the selected PCR.

Compile the EPD
Use the EPD SETU reporting template to compile LCA results, product data and methodology statements.

Independent verification
An EPD SETU-approved verifier reviews the LCA and EPD against the GPI, PCR and ISO 14025.

Register & publish
The Secretariat assigns a registration number and publishes the verified EPD in the public registry.
