Programme
Standards & Methodology
EPD SETU is built on the international standards that define credible, comparable environmental declarations.
| Standard | Role in EPD SETU |
|---|---|
| ISO 14025 | Type III environmental declarations — the master standard for EPD programmes. |
| EN 15804 | Core PCR for construction products — system boundaries, modules A1–D, indicators. |
| ISO 21930 | Sustainability of construction works — EPD core rules for building products and services. |
| ISO 14040 / 14044 | Life Cycle Assessment — principles, framework and requirements. |
| ISO 14067 | Carbon footprint of products — quantification requirements. |
| ISO/TS 14027 | Development of Product Category Rules (PCRs). |
Comparability note (ISO 14025): EPDs from different programmes may not be directly comparable. Construction-product EPDs can be compared only when they follow EN 15804, use the same functional / declared unit and are contextualised at the building level per EN 15978.
